[Regarding macOS Tahoe](Updated October 16, 2025)

macOS v26 Tahoe is now supported!
We advise against upgrading your macOS at this time as it may cause Live2D products not to function correctly.
Upgrading macOS can also cause you to lose your Cubism Editor license file.
Please make sure to deactivate your Cubism Editor license before upgrading the macOS.

Clipping Mask Groups

It would be very helpful to be able to create a masking group:
1. Assign multiple objects to a new Clipping Mask Group
2. Assign an ID to that slimming mask group
3. Use that new ID as a clipping ID on an object.

This would allow you to mask an object with many masks/objects instead of only one mask.

  • @sifyro i know right!?

Could be used for moving shadows across a whole character, or texture mapping groups of body parts using a single layer. Would be powerful!

One thing I could do that worked similar to what we want, is duplicating and merging the layers to get the silhouette I want to clip, and put it bellow everything, the multiply layer can be in any place and still clip the silhouette

    Thank you!
  • Just want to come back again for this. All the time I am wanting to use multiple clipping masks, some inverted and some not, on the same layer. Sometimes I want to clip a mask before the mask is applies. This feature is worth revisiting.
