Unable to view character in Live2d Viewer. Please help! :(

edited February 2016 in Help
Hi guys, I am unable to view my character on the Live2d Viewer (Please refer to my attached image). The character does not appear (the screen is blank). What should I do? Please let me know. Thanks!

  • Hi,

Thanks for including the screenshot! It would be great if you could provide further information which should enable me to help.

    1) What version of the viewer are you using?
    2) How did you export the model from the modeler?
    3) If possible, could you send me over the model file? If not, could you prepare a model file that shows the same behavior?

    Thanks in advance!
  • Thanks for providing the requested information. Unfortunately the Viewer 2.1.9 can't display models that contain special characters like the '+' in file names. Currently you can only work around this limitation by not including special characters in files that the viewer accesses. However, the guys working on the viewer are already looking into how to remove this limitation.
  • Thanks for your reply. May I know what is the latest version of the Viewer? What is the correct version that I should download to solve the problem, besides avoiding '+' in file names?

  • Unfortunately no viewer version currently allows that. However, this should be fixed in a future release.

Thanks i'm able to see my character now :)

  • That's great! The issue has already been fixed in the source code last Friday so in future versions of the viewer you should be able to view models that have '+' in their file name.
