Animation events have no function name

Hello,

There's an option within the Live2D editor to add events to an animation. It carries over to Unity SDK as a string argument. However, the function remains empty, causing an error log. We have to manually add a function name to all the events, and on every reimport, the name is changed back to being empty. Are there plans to persist the function name specified by the user when reimporting animations? Alternatively, are there plans to add a default function name to the event call? Someone made a blog post about it, you may find it useful. Instead of having it hardcoded, ideally, would it be possible to change the default function name somewhere in the settings? If any such changes are indeed planned, I'd appreciate it if you could provide a rough timeline for this.

Thank you.

  • It seems like even the official documentation recommends rewriting the CubismMotion3Json.cs file to have a default function name but... That's not a good solution, as it'll be overwritten every time we update the Live2D SDK? Having the option to change the default function name somewhere in the settings or, even better, preserving the user-specified function name (different events may need different function names) on reimport would be ideal.
