I have a similar problem, I get lots of random crashes/freezes. I have an M1 Mac, but (from what I understand) intel programs should run fine under Rosetta 2. I attached the log file.

Yes, the freezing occurs with every file that I open.
I would like to confirm the problem but could not reproduce it. Could you please check the behavior of Editor after restarting your PC and closing all resident applications?
Hi everyone, I was able to solve my Macbook Live2D crashing problem by installing the latest macOS Catalina Security Update 2021-008, which was just released December 13, 2021.
I would like to confirm the problem but could not reproduce it. Could you please check the behavior of Editor after restarting your PC and closing all resident applications?
Unfortunately, I have the same issues on macOS 12.1, Live2D 4.1.03. I think my problems are because of the Apple M1 chip which to be fair is said to be unsupported. I will have to wait for the support to be added then.
Actually, I want to provide more information because what I said above was not accurate. I have discovered that the cause of the freezing is caused by the window-snapping app "Rectangle".
When I updated macOS it quit all the running apps which is why I thought that was the fix, but the issue came back and I discovered that it's caused by the "Rectangle" app.
I hope that helps anyone experiencing a similar issue.
I sadly can‘t open the editor only the viewer with the following setup:
Live2D Version: 4.1.05 OS: macOS Monterey 12.4 Mac: Mac Mini (2020) CPU/GPU: Apple M1 Memory: 8GB Software used: Clip Studio
Has somebody tried using Parallels+Windows on a Mac M1 to work with Live2D? At this point I assume there is no work around to get it running on my new Mac.
New user here, also on Mac and facing pretty much the same issue. Program crashes when I attempt to save a model, or when I launch the program with said model pre-loaded, I assume. If I move the .cmo3 file out of its directory the program opens, but once I try to save again it crashes.
Live 2d version: 4.2 OS: macOS Monterey 12.4 Mac: MacBook Pro (2017) Graphics processor: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536 MB CPU: 3.5 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i7 Memory: 16 GB Software Used: Clip Studio
We are currently receiving numerous reports from macOS Monterey users of issues with Cubism crashing. We believe this problem is most likely caused by macOS Monterey Please downgrade macOS and try to see if Cubism works properly.
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, Downgrading macOS would be a lengthy process and I'm on a partitioned system. Downgrading is not ideal. Is your team working to account for Monterey at the moment? If so, how long do you expect it to be until a solution is found?
We understand very well how you feel. This issue is most likely a bug in macOS Monterey and we have no way to address it. Cubism Editor is a Java-based application, and we are experiencing problems with Java applications in the macOS Monterey environment. We will continue to investigate, but at this point we can only wait for an announcement from Apple regarding macOS.
