WAV file won't import despite it being formatted correctly

It won't let me import a WAV file despite me formatting the file it literally told me to formats it as. It seems that Im the only one having this problem because I asked MULTIPLE of my Live2D friends to test and see if they could use it they said they could. So I thought my Live2D was bugged so I deleted it and went to go buy the newest version thinking maybe it just needs an update but after doing all of that it still doesn't work.

I didn't just pay for the freaking subscription just to not be able to use it.

  • Hello! @ookubo

    - Live2D Software Version:The Newest one I think 5.2.02 I just bought it.
    - OS & Version: Microsoft Windows 11 Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100
    - PC Model: B560 DS3H AC-Y1
    - Graphics Specifications: Radeon RX 570 Series
    - CPU: 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11400F
    - Memory: 8.0 GB
    - Illustration Software used: Firealpaca, Ibispaint, and Procreate.

I didn't change where it was initially installed the application is in my downloads. And the folders for Live2D that holds all the important information is in C:Users ect.

It doesn't work in ANY animation files not new ones or even old animations that IK worked before, or even another animation file that uses the same audio.

Again I've used many different models in this and it doesn't work for any of the models. Im also not the only one who uses these models as it's used by a whole crew of animators. The audio doesn't work for me but it does for my other colleges.

    ・Please try rebooting your PC.

・If there are any updates, please try updating the software.

・If possible, please try refreshing and reinstalling Windows 11.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
  • Hello @ookubo

Im not sure what you mean by this but Im guessing either software or where my audio comes out as.

1- The audio was formatted in Davinci and I even tried exporting the audio through Audacity. I use speakers from a company called Creative (not 100% sure since I don't have the box or information anymore.

    2. I have already tried that and I've just downloaded Audacity for this reason because I heard Audacity is good for converting audio into Live2D specific audio.

    3. Yes it can.

    4. It still didn't work for the kei audio animation. I even tried opening the audio in a separate animation file it still pops up with the same error.

Im not sure how to "delete cubism editor setting file" but I have deleted and redownloaded the Live2d and it didn't work.

I also updated my computer still didn't work + resetting.
  • Hi @Miya

Please check the following two points
    1
Please check your sound driver by following the steps below.
Select [Start Menu] > [Settings] > [System] > [Advanced Settings].
    Select 【Device Manager】 from 【Related Settings】.
Open “Sound, Video, and Game Controllers” and provide the name of the sound driver you see.

    2
Please try importing audio with the security software stopped.

    Thank you for your cooperation.
  • Hello @ookubo

I can't find the advanced settings it just pops up with multiple different options like display ect.
  • Hello @ookubo

I found the driver and its Advanced Micro Driver also I turned off the security software and it didn't work I still got the same error.
  • Hi @Miya

This does not appear to be an audio driver.
Please open the Device Manager and tell us the contents of the following items.

    Best regards.

  • Hello @ookobo

There are multiple audio drivers but the one I use is AMD High Definition Audio Device & AMD Streaming Audio Device.

It's just listing the different devices I've connected to my computer. Would you like me to list all of them?
  • Hi @Miya

    Thanks for your answer.
    Please check on these.

    1
If possible, show us all the items in “Sound, video and game controllers” in the device manager.

    2
If any of those devices are disabled, please enable them.

    3
Try updating the drivers for all sound devices in it at .

    Best regards.
  • Hello @ookobo

Here are my drivers and all of them looked to be enabled and up to date.
  • Hi @Miya

    Thank you for your answer.
    Please check the following.

    1
Disable everything except the audio driver “Realtek Audio”, restart the PC and check if WAV files can be imported.

    2
    Try deleting the
    configuration file.
See step 4 here for instructions.
    https://help.live2d.com/en/cubismeditor/cubism-does-not-start-win/

    3
Try stopping applications other than Live2D and resident software.
Other applications may interfere and cause problems.
Please check if WAV files can be imported with all applications closed and only the Cubism Editor running.

    Best regards.

    Hello @ookubo

It still wouldn't allow me to import any audio files. Though step 2 did seem to reset my live2D back to it's original state.
