Mesh Edit Deform Brush Tool

A tool similar to that of the Deform Brush tool or the Brush Selection tool that can be used during Mesh edit to help with repetitive shapes that are vaguely similar and could work with the same Polygon / Vertices arrangement

Example A .
The blue circle on Shape A is an estimation on where you would use such a tool (similar on how Deform Brush works) which is then applied to get Shape B. reducing time on what would be a repetitive task

Example B .
With Angular mesh adjusting each point manually becomes even more time consuming, a transform skew would be ideal but a Deform Brush would get to the same result with more flexibility in use as shown in Example A

  • Hi @Kacha

    Thanks for using our product.

Please allow me to confirm your exact request with our development team.

First of all, am I correct in understanding that this is a function where when you operate A, B changes to a similar shape in conjunction with A?

And what do you consider to be the ideal a transform skew?

    Best regards.
  • +1 to this request, sometimes I just want to pull/push the vertices a little bit to match up to the shape better, but currently it requires a bit more manual one-by-one adjustment (select, rotate/scale, then having to go in and correct each point). Being able to use the deform brush tool or something very similar in the ArtMesh editor would be extremely helpful.

Im not sure if there's some misunderstanding but ill try explain it a bit more in detail

(this is only pertaining to the mesh/polygon of models and not the shape of the artmesh)

B would be a different shape entirely but, if for example i already added manual polygon on A which is a very similar shape to B, instead of making the mesh of B from scratch, or copy pasting and pulling on individual points / vertices in mesh edit it could have a similar brush function (to modelling) on the mesh edit menu instead and would reduce the amount of friction when working in such scenarios. (makes meshes from other files/models reusable too when working with similar shape structures)

i think ideally a brush tool in mesh edit mode would be the most easy to use, but a deformer like transform skew would work aswell.
  • Hi @Kacha

    Thanks for explaining.
I have shared it with the development team.

    Best regards.
