[5.2.03b1] Make bounding boxes align to soft selection

New auto aligning bounding boxes to warp angle is a welcomed addition, however there's only one thing that makes this function almost useless -- it does not work with soft selection.

For me and I think I speak as majority of users, this is 90% of use case when I need to align the bounding boxes, so it's a real bummer that auto aligning does not work in this situation. I hope you consider changing it in stable release.

  • I have an interesting finding, selecting all the points even just slightly will make auto align work. This is closer to what I want, but that also means the warning is invalidated because technically it can work by selecting the control points. You should be able to make auto aligning relative to the selection area.
  • *as added note since I can't edit my post, would be great if this aligning function works with selections in general (selection with brush or lasso tool).
