[Regarding macOS Tahoe](Updated October 16, 2025)

macOS v26 Tahoe is now supported!
We advise against upgrading your macOS at this time as it may cause Live2D products not to function correctly.
Upgrading macOS can also cause you to lose your Cubism Editor license file.
Please make sure to deactivate your Cubism Editor license before upgrading the macOS.

Live2D Cubism Viewer Crashes Every time on new laptop

Hello!

Everytime I try to open a json or moc3 file with Viewer, it crashes.
I tried reinstalling cubism and downgraded to previous version.
Used sample files and fresh exports of my own files. Everything crashes.

*I tried ther same files on my old PC and viewer works fine there.

System info
- Live2D version: 4.0.09 (08 also fails)
- Windows 10
- Laptop Model: Acer nitro 5
- GeForce RTX 3060 laptop GPU
- CPU: Intel Core i7 10750H
- 8GB RAM

*Laptop is brand new. About one week of use.
Editors seems to works fine also.

    Please check below.
    put the Hibiki model file(hibiki.moc3) in the same directory and try it.

    If it doesn't work, let me know.

    All files are in the same folder.
    I tried different models also. both json and moc3 files crash the viewer

    Thank you for your checking.
    I want to solve your problem. Please check below.

    ・Please export your model data again and try to run it.

    ・Please download sample model and open it in the Viewer
    (Be careful not to change the hierarchical structure and name of the directory.)

    ・If you can not open in the Viewer, Please send us the entire directory containing your model, the Editor log.txt file, and the Viewer_log.txt file.

    Please follow the instructions in the attached image to get the log file.




    [How to send a direct message]
    Click on my name, "kudo(Staff)".
    My profile screen will open. Click on [Message] in the top right corner.
    The message sending screen opens.
    Click on the icon [Attach file] and select the file.
    Click [Post Message] to send the message.
    (Please compress the file. If the file is too large to be attached, use an upload site or similar)

    Thank you for your share, but I still don't understand why your viewer is not working.
    I'm sorry to keep repeating this, but please try the following.

    Please check below:
    ・please check the video card driver. Is it the latest version?
    ⇒write answer

    ・Please uninstall Cubism Editor & install Cubism Editor. Does the viewer work?
    ⇒write answer

    ・Please delete the directory of the Viewer setting. Does the viewer work?

    I installed the latest video card driver
    Uninstalled cubism and deleted all remaining files
    Reinstalled cubism

    Still not working :(

    Please try opening it with CubismViewer4_d3d.bat
