[Regarding macOS Tahoe](Updated October 16, 2025)

macOS v26 Tahoe is now supported!
We advise against upgrading your macOS at this time as it may cause Live2D products not to function correctly.

Live2d suddenly VERY slow

No idea why, as I've made a couple models in the past and have had no problems, but now doing most anything freezes the program and makes me wait a long time to load. Anything from copying/pasting a mesh or resizing a deformer. Saving is the worst and can take up to ~5 minutes. Also, the physics menu is practically impossible to use now and is too laggy to even see if anything is working.

I've tried reinstalling, which helped maybe a tad, but it's still so agonizing to use. I don't think it's my computer, as it's pretty high quality and new and can play pretty CPU intensive video games, so I don't know why it would suddenly just break on me.

Specs:
Cubism Editor 4.0.09
Win 10 Home 64bit
Intel i7 3.70ghz
32gb RAM
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER (Gigabyte)

No, I don't see any lag on the sample models. My file's canvas size is actually about half the size of the samples and its texture atlas is the same size and there's less parameters and physics, so I can't think of why that specific file lags.

I think I see the problem, but don't know how to fix it. I see a huge difference in "Number of Interpolations in Deformers" and "Number of Interpolations in Artmesh", but I don't exactly know what determines that number and I can't find any information or documentation.
  • Thank you for checking using the sample model.

If you assign a lot of parameters to a single mesh or deformer, it may become noticeably slower.
    Please check here.

Please make a copy of your files and delete "Number of Interpolations in Deformers" and "Number of Interpolations in Artmesh" little by little to see how it works. Perhaps, you'll be able to find the cause.

If the above does not work, please send us the model file, as there may be a problem.
