Mesh Renderer and Mesh Collider?

edited December 2023 in Help
While working with my first project I noticed that the Mesh Renderer in the Live2D Canvas creates a pink-ish background that sometimes shows when my background image doesn't cover all of the screen.

For test purposes, I disabled the Mesh Renderer and I couldn't find anything that stopped working. After that, I disabled the Mesh Collider also and everything still seems to work fine.

For what purpose do I need Mesh Renderer and Mesh Collider?

Comments

  • Just as you say, for rendering you don't necessarily need the MeshRenderer (and you don't need the MeshCollider at all...).
  • So what function do I need the MeshRenderer for because both the renderer and the collider is attached to the Live2D_Canvas when you first create it.
