Announcement regarding Cubism Editor 5.3
Thank you for your continued support of Live2D Inc.
We here at the dev team would like to express our sincere appreciation for the positive reception and feedback we have received from users during the ongoing Cubism Editor 5.3 alpha.
In order to allow additional time to further enhance and polish the feature set for version 5.3, the scheduled release of the Cubism Editor 5.3 beta will unfortunately be postponed from the end of June to around the end of August.
We apologize for the continued wait for users who have been looking forward to the release of the new version, and appreciate your understanding.
The beta version will improve upon the new features available in the alpha, while also adding new useful features not included in the alpha version.
All fixes up to Cubism Editor 5.2.03 will also be applied.
In addition, we plan to release the beta version for Cubism SDK for Native, Web, and Unity at the same time, which will support the new features added in the alpha version of the Editor, "blend mode," "off-screen drawing," and "aliasing”.
In order to focus our efforts on the beta release, new downloads for the alpha version will become unavailable after July 8, 2025 (JST), and the alpha version of the Editor will no longer start up after July 18, 2025 (JST). If you would like to try out the new features ahead of time, please do so during this period.
We are continuing to check everyone’s feedback as it comes in, so if you have any comments or suggestions, please post them with the hashtag #cubism53_alpha, or answer the survey by clicking the button in the upper right corner of the alpha version Editor UI.
We will continue developing features that allow users to enjoy Live2D even more in the future, and look forward to your continued expectation and support for Cubism.
