[5.2.0 beta]the Bezier grid of Warp Deformer disappeared

The green Bezier grid of the Warp Deformer has disappeared, and using any version of Live2D Cubism can not make the Bezier grid to reappear. Switching edit levels also has no effect. Copying the bend deformer into other files does not work either. I'm unsure how this issue occurred; it was suddenly noticed during the model creation process. Attached is a cmo3 file containing the problematic Warp Deformer.

  • Hi @Kamilet

    Thanks for using our products.

Please start by telling us about your environment.

▼ For questions regarding Editor, please provide:.
    - Live2D Software Version: (e.g. Cubism Editor 4.0.01)
    - OS & Version: (e.g. Windows 10, macOS HighSierra)
    - PC Model: (e.g. MacBookPro 2017)
    - Graphics Specifications: (e.g. GeForce GTX 950M)
    - CPU: (e.g. Intel Core i7-7700)
    - Memory: (e.g. 8GB)
    - Illustration Software used: (e.g. Photoshop, ClipStudio, SAI)
    - Attach screenshot or capture video to show your problem: (e.g. Photoshop, ClipStudio, SAI)

    Then answer the following questions.
1 Did you use a model template?
2 Did you use the new features of 5.2.00 beta1 by the time you identified the problem?
3 Does deleting the configuration file solve the problem? (We recommend backing up the configuration file when trying this).
4 Does the same phenomenon occur with new files? Also, what happens if a deformer is created by opening a sample model or other data?

    That's all.

  • - Live2D Software Version: 5.2.00 beta
    - OS & Version: Windows 11
    - PC Model: DIY
    - Graphics Specifications: GeForce GTX 4070
    - CPU: Intel Core i5-13600k
    - Memory: 32GB
    - Illustration Software used: Photoshop
    - Attach screenshot or capture video to show your problem: cmo3 file in attached zip

1 Did you use a model template?
    Nope.
2 Did you use the new features of 5.2.00 beta1 by the time you identified the problem?
Yes, 'Reverse Paste Shape' used. But I have only used 'Reverse Paste Shape' on the artmesh and have not used it on the Warp Deformer.

3 Does deleting the configuration file solve the problem?
Nope. The problematic Warp Deformer stills. Maybe you can try the attached file. The problem remains even I open the file on another computer.

4 Does the same phenomenon occur with new files? Also, what happens if a deformer is created by opening a sample model or other data?
Nope. And I don't know how to reproduce this bug. The new deformers created afterwards did not encounter this issue.
However, this problem caused the old deformers to be corrupted(green Bezier grid disappeared). I want to know how to fix the deformers if possible.

    Thanks!
  • Hi @Kamilet

    Thanks for the reply.

    Let me check one thing.
Did you create this data with Cubism Editor 5.2.00 beta1 and then open it with another version (e.g. 5.1.03)?

    Best regards.
  • - Live2D Software Version: Cubism 5.1.03 + Cubism 5.2.00 beta1
    - OS & Version: Windows 10
    - PC Model: DIY
    - Graphics Specifications: NVDIA GeFore RTX 3060
    - CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K 3.40GHz
    - Memory: 64GB
    - Illustration Software used: ClipStudio

I have never used model templates in this file

I also have the same problem
Originally I used Cubism 5.1.03 to make my model
    Later tried Cubism 5.2.00 beta1
    So I tried both alternately

Later I discovered that Bezier could not be displayed.
Bezier division numder is locked and cannot be changed
I found that not all deformers produce this error
So I guess most of the deformers I created are fine with Cubism 5.1.03
But after I created a handful of new deformers using Cubism 5.2.00 beta1
(somehow it broke, but it wasn't broken when I created it, otherwise I wouldn't be so bothered)
(This may be discovered when re-reading after archiving)

So I currently go back to Cubism 5.1.03 and use inheritance to replace the broken deformers .
Because I'm afraid that Cubism 5.2.00 beta1 will produce more bad deformers .
  • Hi @Kamilet @anzelo

Upon attempting to reproduce the issue internally, we indeed confirmed the phenomenon where Bezier curves do not display. This issue can occur when a cmo3 file created and saved with 5.2.00 beta1 is opened in Cubism Editor version 5.1 or earlier.

This is mentioned in the warning dialog displayed when opening files in older versions of the editor, stating that files created or saved in newer versions may not open correctly and could become corrupted in older versions. This case falls under that warning.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but to prevent file corruption, please avoid loading cmo3 files created with 5.2.00 beta1 in older versions of the Cubism Editor. If you have already saved corrupted files in Cubism Editor 5.1, please retrieve the files from the automatic backup folder of Cubism Editor 5.2 beta and use Cubism Editor 5.2 for your work.
