Severe UI lag on Mac

I’ve been using version 4 just fine in the past. Just updated to 5.1.03, and it is extremely laggy. Clicking on a vertex to move it, I have to hold it on the vertex for a few seconds for it to register otherwise nothing will happen. Whenever I parameter, the slider moves instantly, but it can take up to 2+ seconds for the model to actually move. When I drag layers around in the “parts“ section, It can take even 10 seconds for the layer to slowly move to where my mouse is positioned. clicking on a field to enter a value, it takes about three seconds for it to register that I clicked in the field. Sometimes, but not all the time, when I’m selecting vertexes, using the lasso tool, the line that the lasso is drawing along really slow. Basically everything in the app takes at least one second to register before it does anything, making it a complete productivity killer.

Mac Pro 2013. Tons of ram. As I said, I ran 4.1 just fine on this machine.
Things seem to be running closer to normal speed in the viewer app.

I read that turning off the HiDPI setting is worth a shot. But for the life of me, I cannot find where that setting is on a Mac. No search results, nothing on your website, only this quote on your 5.0.0 alpha 3 build: “Added a setting to disable auto-enlargement of the UI”… where is this?
