Why does Live2D editor take so long to create deformers?
Hi there, I've been using L2D for a while now and it started taking way too long to create deformers.
I've tested using the model "mao_pro_en" and it works fine but my model lags so much (It takes up to 10 seconds to create a deformer for it). I decreased the amout of vertices and deformers, tried to optimize everything, increased the ram usage to 14GB and nothing seems to work.
My specs:
- AMD Ryzen 7
- Nvidia RTX 2080 Super
- HyperX 16GB ram

I've sent the files to the link, I hope you guys can help me out
Thank you for sending us the file.
We have reviewed them.
The model file size is large and the behavior is a bit slow, but we could not confirm that it takes a lot of time to create the deformer in our environment.
Could you please try the following?
- Try resetting the editor's configuration file
https://help.live2d.com/en/cubismeditor/cubism-does-not-start-win/
Please try the method in step 4 on this page.
Please keep the backed up files without deleting them, as you will need them if you encounter any problems.
- Reduce texture size
Large textures may be overloading the system.
Smaller textures and a lighter editor may result in quicker behavior.
Best regards.
It had something to do with the "Extended Interpolation" feature. It was my fault, I used it incorrectly and it severely affected the software's performance.
Anyways, thank you for taking care of your clients
