everytime a new pop-up opens, the application freezes/crashes

edited June 2022 in Help
hi there! i just downloaded live2D version 4.1 on my mac, but for some reason, anytime i try to use a mechanic that would usually provide a pop-up (like creating a warp deformer or using an automatic mesh generator), it opens it up in a new tab instead, which then causes the application to freeze and bug out. don't know if anyone else has come across this? but unfortunately it makes me unable to use the application, since pretty much everything has some pop-up related to it :( would appreciate any help/advice, and thanks so much!
