Make Deform Path points easier to manipulate
Deform Paths are very useful for maintaining mesh shape, but it is very inconvenient to manipulate detailed Deform Paths.
Moving Deform Path Points one at a time causes permanent shape deformation, so you should move multiple points at once. To move multiple points you must Shift+Click them and move them together using the red Transform box.
This is tedious to do while on the normal Arrow Tool (A) since you can end up near other functions like rotate transform, or select nearby vertices.
You also can not use Deform Brush Tool on Deform Paths. It only changes the vertices of the art mesh, not moving the Deform Path.
Here are some examples of how to improve manipulation:
- Add a Deform Path Arrow Tool to quickly select multiple Deform Path Points and quickly move them
- Add a hotkey to only select Deform Path Points while using the Arrow Tool
- Add an option for Deform Brush Tool to affect Deform Paths and not art mesh vertices
