[Regarding macOS Tahoe](Updated October 16, 2025)

macOS v26 Tahoe is now supported!
We advise against upgrading your macOS at this time as it may cause Live2D products not to function correctly.

I seem to can't save any type of animations. I referred to a post posted here couple years ago but I don't think it's a file related issue, as i'v tried to save another animation and got the same issue. I'v tried reinstalling the program, to no avail

Logs are very confusing to me, here

  • Hello, @Shiroi
    Thank you for your contact.
    This is Live2D Support.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

For further investigation, please fill in all the information below:
    Live2D Software Version: (e.g. Cubism Editor 4.1.00 beta1)
OS & Version: (e.g. Windows 10, macOS HighSierra)
    PC Model: (e.g. MacBookPro 2017)
Video card: (e.g. GeForce GTX 950M)
    CPU: (e.g. Intel Core i7-7700)
    Memory: (e.g. 8GB)\

    We appreciate your cooperation
    Thank you.
  • Software version: 4.1.04
    Windows 10
    AMD Ryzen 5 2600X
    GeForce RTX 2060
    16GB

I will also mention this wasnt a problem until some time ago.

  • I have also noticed that my ram usage on the program is put at max 234, whilst my friends have it way higher
  • I figured it out, it was a java issue, it was restricting my ram usage
  • Hi, I'm having a very similar problem right now, most things I do in the program result in memory errors in the log but no pop up message.
For example when I go to export the live2d as .moc3 it gets stuck about 30% and stops untill it just doesnt export, with no error pop-up.

I found this post as Shiroi mentioned their max ram usage is only 234 and mine is also a really small 228, and like them found it to be much higher on other peoples.
(every screenshot and video I could find was much higher)

@Shiroi what did you do to work out this issue? I thought it might be java but I have no idea what to do.

My specs just in case are:

    Software version: 4.1.04
    Windows 10
    AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
    GeForce RTX 3070
    24GB

    Thank you in advance!
  • I managed to fix this!

For anyone with my exact problem coming from Google, it was indeed Java's default Options restricting/overriding Live2ds.

I used this tutorial to change the setting inside windows' menus:
    https://help.dugeo.com/m/faq/l/98932-how-do-i-edit-the-java-s-overriding-environment-variable

I don't know what changed this as it was working before, but likely java/windows updated and broke things.
  • @Kugell that's exactly what i did! I should'v included the fix here but was too happy i finally managed to fix it so I'm glad You did instead!
