[Regarding macOS Tahoe](Updated October 16, 2025)
macOS v26 Tahoe is now supported!
We advise against upgrading your macOS at this time as it may cause Live2D products not to function correctly.
Upgrading macOS can also cause you to lose your Cubism Editor license file.
Please make sure to deactivate your Cubism Editor license before upgrading the macOS.

Hi, I’m encountering a serious issue where Live2D Cubism causes OpenJDK memory usage to spike immediately on launch.
This happens even when I’m not opening any project—simply starting the program will cause the memory to climb rapidly until it becomes unusable. It looks like a potential memory leak, but I’m not sure if something else could be causing it.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
1.Reinstalled Live2D Cubism Editor (version 5.2)
2.Restarted my PC.
3.Edited MAX_MEMORY (I have 32GB RAM, and I set MAX_MEMORY=20000)
4.Deleted the L2D automatic backup folder.
None of these changes solved the issue.
I’m looking for advice on what else could cause OpenJDK to consume such a large amount of memory during startup, or whether this is a known issue.

Does the value increase by itself alone, like you not opening files/use the software?, usually is normal to like increase to 600mb ram on start and climb up to 1gb even, but after you open projects can keep escalating (up to the max of your ram) and it will lag... but you are sayign that this happens ocne you open and right away.
I could recommend try to Beta 5.3 if it happens (they did a change taht it feels less laggy idk what change it was)
Also seeing your log, you are using your integrated graphics and not your 3060 remmeber to change that option in your power settings in windows !
